Week six

Do Now’s for Senior photography working through Photopea and Canva - basics

Monday p2 open:

Photo pea learn

Make some notes about what masks are;

How many vector masks can each layer have?

How many raster  masks can each layer have?

There are definitions for raster and vector masks within this source. Write these definitions in your own words

Answers here in your own words please

Mask are building blocks for our own document, sometimes we need to hide a part of a layer (so it is not shown in the result) without deleting the actual pixel data, vector masks can have at least one mask. The raster mask also has at least one mask. The raster mask is a grayscale image that has pixels each tool can be applied to a a regular layer (brush, eraser, smudge, fill) can also be applied to the raster mask.the vector mask  consist of vector shapes that are made of bezier curves, the vector shapes are internally converted to a grayscale image and applied to the layer automatically

Tuesday  p1

  • Open this file or one of your own from last week with the photocopies on photopea- you may need to download it to do this, you will need to open it FROM photopea. Add a raster mask to a layer. Mess with it and screenshot the result (does not have to be a whole lot of work, just enough to show you have done something)

Screen shot your work and add it to this document

Wednesday  p2

Choose one photo from the selection here and draw a thumbnail sketch of it, locating the following:

  • Focal point

  • Leading lines

  • Rule of thirds and why that matters

The focal point is something that catches the bulk of the attention in the photo the focal point here it is the men standing around with concern, and also the filter on the photo makes it look vintage which drags out attention to the men.The leading lines are something that draws the viewer to a specific point of the picture here it is the man in the middle,as he is bang in the middle of all these men.the rule of three here is important in the photo is important because it's the composition guideline for the picture.that places the subject of the photo in the left right or third, leaving the other two thirds open.the most appealing parts of the photos are placed along these lines

Friday, p2:

  • Create a blog that covers this week’s do nows fully and clearly. Label it and link it to this doc. Label it clearly as 2.2 or 3.2
