Blog post 7 - 3.2
i have edited a series of 3 photos that i have taken photos of.In the first series i edited the level and tone of the photo to make it look darker and bring out more of the saturation in a photo. In the second one i edited a girl on trains tracks and had palm trees in the back i edited the photo using double exposure effect editing to pretty much morphe the two photos together. In the very last series of photos i have edited the levels and tone of the my lounge and my Marae in the background and have done this to bring out the colour of my marae more and saturate the image,I have also used the double exposure effect editing on the image to create the concept of being "Home"

This photography art piece by Michael Kenna sketched above focal point is the wooden stand in the middle of the area as it is the only thing we can actually focus on.The wooden stand leading lines are photographed at a perfect angle where we can see that as the floor meets the sky there is a colour change.Between this split there is a line which lines up exactly with the stand.the use of colour in this art piece is very dark mostly grey white and black which gives the picture a "lonely" of vibe since the wooden piece stands alone.space and balance in this photo is really good as thee sky and floor are the same size just different colour. The wooden piece is also to the right rather than being in the middle oh the photograph
This photograph by Edith Amituanai sketched above we see the focal point as the couch,There is also another focal point for me personally that stands out which i think are the photo frames above the couch. The photo has been framed in the middle to draw the viewers eyes towards the couches and the photos above.the use of colour in this photo is very plain and limited and gives an old Polynesian home feel to it.There are no uses of repetitive elements in this photo apart.from the two identical photo frames on either side of the middle bigger picture.Everything in this photo has a equal visual weight with the couch being exactly in the middle. However the photos are more to the right and the space of the curtains take up more of the right side making the left side more empty.Friday, 8 July 2022

these are a couple of contact sheets that have made from photos i have taken throughout this past term,My theme being documetry "day in the life" style.in most of these photos my model is mostly framed in outdoor enviroments,My goal is thati wanted to mostly have my modell in differret enviroments. Some techniques that i used were depth of feild in the photographs where the boy has a mask on and his face is blurred and i had used this technique when i had zoomed in on a male model from a distance in secret doing his schoolwork.I also has used Something that is working well is finding different "day in the life" enviroments for my model to be photographed in and working with differen types of angles and shoots in these particular enviroments.Something that i think i can do better next time is properly planning where and what im taking photos of so that i can get a proper series of photos and have them being properly framed.I will also be trying to use different techniques as i havent really explored that area too much yet in my photography.
